Scholarship Winners Announced
It is with great pleasure that EDCEA Local #1's Scholarship Committee announce the winners of this year's scholarships. The EDCEA, Local #1 Board of Directors voted to offer five (5) scholarships, each in the amount of one thousand ($1,000) dollars. Chelsea McCormack came in first place followed by Jenna Shaw, Cameron Urquhart, Melissa Shaw and Janette Robbins Worsnop. We would like to congratulate these recipients as the decision by the committee was very difficult. There were many great applicants but in the end, the above named were chosen based on their essay showing their understanding of the union movement, their personal outlook for the next five years, their high school or college transcripts, and their community involvement. EDCEA, Local #1 is proud to help our members and their spouses, children and grandchildren in their continuing education efforts. We thank all applicants for their efforts and look forward to next year's contest. Congratulations to all! |  |
